There’s Nothing Like Perquimans Marine Industrial Park Anywhere in the United States

About The Park

The Perquimans Marine Industrial park is a 72 acre site in Perquimans county, NC.  After four years of planning and permitting effort, the site is now ready for development.  The site’s close proximity to the Norfolk VA area, the Atlantic Ocean, the sounds of North Carolina, and the Intercoastal Waterway make it an ideal location for businesses looking to expand into the southeast Virginia or US east coast marine markets.

The mission of the Perquimans Marine Industrial Park is to promote, enhance, and offer business opportunities for marine related businesses in Northeastern North Carolina.

The acreage available, the basin, the access to deep water, the access to major arteries for transportation really make it the best marine industrial park available on the east coast. If I were setting up a new business or a new facility, for me, this would be a first choice location.

Peter Johnstone

Boat Builder

When you look at this water and all the coastal areas of North Carolina, the opportunities that offers to the boating industry…I think making a marine industrial park close to the town of Hertford helps make the place what the community wants it to be because of the incredible assets we have here.

Dr. Patricia Mitchell

North Carolina Dept. of Commerce

As far as the marine commerce industry goes, we have a very skilled and competent work force. A lot of our citizens have been working in the shipyards of Norfolk and Portsmouth for years and to have the opportunity to work here in Hertford…that would be great for them.
